Slightly sick in Leiden

Hello one and all. Yeah yeah I know that I'm not so good with the keeping a blog but I'm doing my best at the moment. Leiden is amazing and beautiful. I've been busy learning Dutch and exploring the city with my friends and fiancee. Oh and AK AL is the best food on this planet I'm beginning to think. MMMM turkish pizza and Kebaps! Other than that I'm just taking it slowly. Its what I love about the European lifestyle...its relaxed! I've gotten that random cold that you sometimes get when you travel or move somewhere. So I mostly just want to curl up and read. But there is so much to see and do thats not happening. Oh Twell.

Ummm so i haven't even started packing yet...

So you remember that one story about how I was going to atleast update this once in a while so I didn't fall off the face of the earth? Um yeah about that... well the anti-face of the earth (whatever that maybe) has been treating me pretty well lately. Boyfriend proposed to me at the end of july so... we are getting married!!! Ya hoo! We've been trying to do some of the pre-planning before we take off on that plane to go to the other side of the world though. I did have quite the interesting babysitting job though...they don't call it adventures in babysitting for nothing. And I still haven't started paking which is added the evolving list of things to do before I leave the country. Oh well it will all work out in the end.
Oh and here is my adventure from last night. So I was done with babysitting so I dashed to my grandparents to crash on their couch so I could meet my parents there in the morning. Might I note that they live in the country ( as in farms and corn and cows) and it is an old house that makes sounds and makes me think that there are crazy people trying to break in. So that was happening all night and when I finally fell asleep for about an hour a sever thunderstorm rolled through and caused the in house siren to go off at 12:30am which i don't know how to turn off and had to wake up my grandpa because he can't hear but is the only one who knows how to turn it off. So finally back to sleep to hear my grandparents haveing this conversation at 4:30am followed by the phone call at 5:40am followed by them waking up and turning all the lights on to call my parents back at 5:50 followed by them tryin to wake me up, to which i said "i need sleep and set my alarm for another hour only to have grandma keep waking me up to say "aren't you suppose to be up?" and me responding with "my alaram is set for another hour..." so who knew that sleeping could be so eventful??
Thats all for now... I need sleep.

So maybe I won't fall off the face of the earth this time

Hi eveyone...as we all know I love to travel and can hardly stand to stay in one place for too long. The only problem is I tend to loose contact with the world around me and fall off the face of the earth. Maybe this thing will help... Later
